In a landmark move, IQI, the global real estate powerhouse and a part of Juwai IQI, announced today its expansion into Brunei Darussalam with the launch of IQI HomeCity.
This new launch brings IQI’s international agent network and cutting-edge technology to the strategic and wealthy sultanate on the northern coast of the island of Borneo in Southeast Asia.
Juwai IQI Co-Founder and Group CEO Kashif Ansari said:
“Brunei is a gem within ASEAN, with an untapped market but large opportunities for IQI to import the most advanced international technology and business practices.”
“Brunei’s residential market put in a relatively strong performance in 2023, with the Brunei Darussalam Central Bank (BDCB) reporting the Residential Property Price Index climbed 6.7% in the 12 months through September.
“This move represents a doubling down on our strategy of investing today in the economies that will perform best in the future. The economy of the ASEAN area is already larger than India’s. It will be one of the globe’s two or three fastest growing regions in the next decade.
“We look forward to serving buyers, sellers, investors and developers in Brunei and linking them to our international networks.”
Juwai IQI Co-Founder and Group Managing Director Daniel Ho said:
“IQI brings to this partnership our state-of-the-art technology, globe-spanning agency network, top Asian property portals, and a deep network of developers, investors, and buyers that we’ve developed through years of operating in this industry.
”In addition, we bring world-class training and management resources to support the team in Brunei, and help them achieve greater success.
“We are to have local business, HomeCity, as our partner in Brunei. Amanda Yang, CEO of IQI HomeCity, has been a leading force in Kuala Belait, Brunei’s real estate sector for over eight years. Amanda has a reputation for exceptional service and customer satisfaction that is unparalleled.
“This alliance is a fusion of local expertise and global innovation. IQI’s vision has always been to empower local markets with global opportunities. Joining forces with HomeCity aligns perfectly with this vision, offering a unique platform for real estate excellence in Brunei.”
CEO of IQI HomeCity Amanda Yang said:
“We are honoured to join the IQI network and contribute our 30 years of local industry knowledge to this global proptech giant.
“Partnering with IQI is a leap forward for HomeCity. This collaboration allows us to leverage IQI’s global network and technological prowess, enhancing our service offerings and bringing the best of the world to our clients in Brunei.
“Our team will be more successful than ever with access to IQI’s high-quality agent training, technology, and resources.”
