As a Real Estate Negotiator (REN), anyone in that business must understand the sheer amount of effort and hard work it must have taken to achieve a sense of success in themselves – be it professional or personal.
We all love the taste of success – how finalising a deal with a satisfied client or ending a training session with your peers made us feel on top of Mount Everest and screaming to the heavens.
Yet, with so many methods and styles to ensure a secured success, focus on these three ingredients at the beginning of your REN journey – passion, sincerity, and perseverance.
Just like one of our agents, Victor Woo, who has stuck to this recipe of success in his four years in the world of real estate.
Victor Woo, the man behind the “Passion, Sincerity and Perseverance.”
Meet Victor Woo, who worked as a Chartered Accountant in the early stage of their career. He invested in his first property in 1990 and has since gone on to many more such ventures over the next few years.
After achieving several bouts of success, Victor decided to join the real estate industry as a negotiator in 2017.
Through his years of being a Real Estate Negotiator and an avid property investor, he has utilized his passion for the subject of real estate and used it to offer his assistance who need it – whether they are vendors, potential investors, or property purchasers.
Life at IQI – Before and After
Before IQI – Victor started his real estate business in a smaller set-up but experienced minor issues such as technical support, delay in administrative matters (i.e., commission payments), which soon involved the major ones as time passed, affecting his success recipe.
After IQI – Amazed with IQI’s systematic approach in administrative matters, extensive technical support, well carved out incentive schemes, Victor had ample time to focus on his business structure. He highly regarded the helpful and resourceful administrative staffs and meeting other RENs who shared their experience, property listing and information with him for future collaborations.
The Passion, Sincerity and Perseverance
While IQI’s resources and software were well organized for current and future RENs, Victor believed all Real Estate Negotiator need to ensure these 3 ingredients, passion, sincerity and perseverance, are within them to ensure continuous success in the real estate business.
Passion – When we are passionate about our profession and the things we do, we will have the motivation to strive for the best and look forward to carrying it out, with much enthusiasm and energy, at all times.
Sincerity – It’s vital that we deal with the people whom we meet, whatever is the circumstance, honestly and responsibly. Only then can we earn the trust and confidence from them, which will aid in the success of our business.
Perseverance – As in life, there are bound to be obstacles and challenges that we’d need to face, from time to time, e.g. obstacles, challenges, and/or competition we may encounter while attempting to close a deal. Not giving up without putting up a fight until the end will most likely not ensure we get the positive ending we work towards. Even if it doesn’t, at least we pride ourselves that we’ve done our best!
Aim, shoot and soar to success!
As a successful REN, relying on the company resources is encouraged but remember, you might find another new chapter with another. Thus with these three recipes for success, we must look beyond.
