Suthan’s real estate career: Accident or fate?
Suthan has always had a strong desire to grow in his career. As a former bank loan officer, he looked for ways to hit his KPIs and be promoted – one of which was joining a property agency to build relationships with real estate agents!
I even got a REN tag, and when asked by the agency’s principal, I answered him honestly why I joined. He then asked, “Whatever your goal is, why not give a property career a try?” That was when I decided to work on my current job, while also working as a property agent.
Without realising, that was the moment he dipped his toes into the real estate business. And the rest was history.

An unexpected door led Suthan to a property career in IQI
As a part-time real estate negotiator, Suthan worked tirelessly, commuting long hours after his 9-5 to view properties and working through his lunch breaks to prepare appointments.
Despite accumulating over 50 listings in his first few months, he found it difficult to secure his first booking. He was determined to achieve even more results, which led him to discovering IQI’s AG Sasidar on TikTok.
From there, he was referred to AJ Anand, and after a conversation with him, Suthan discovered something interesting – and decided that IQI was worth the switch.
AJ Anand told me how he sold houses online – it felt hard to believe. I didn’t know you could sell houses online; I felt like all my previous learning was wasted. But he could sell houses on TikTok. At that point, I felt I needed to join IQI, so I joined as a part-timer.
The egg-break moment that changed everything
Things started to change once the pressure at Suthan’s former banking job started to increase.
He then made the tough choice to leave his stable job and decided to join IQI full-time, where he earned his first booking within 2 months!

Despite that, his journey wasn’t always smooth sailing – he struggled to sell units.
After getting advice from his team leaders, he realised he simply needed a mindset shift, which led him to sell 40 units and earn his first car bonus!
I never knew it was possible to close bookings online, let alone win car bonuses and more. Until it happened to me, it felt truly amazing. These things can happen!
The excitement of success can be thrilling, but Suthan believes that we shouldn’t slow down at the first achievement.
When the egg breaks, never stop. I double my effort, and I still have to push forward.
Making sales nationwide, from the comfort of home
In Suthan’s previous agency, technology was not an integral part of the business.
That was complete opposite in IQI, where he managed to sell projects across states online, right from his hometown in Klang.
I never imagined that I’d be able to sell KL properties to buyers from Penang, Kedah, and Johor Bahru. Through online platforms such as TikTok and Zoom, I’m able to reach to more people.

To Suthan, sales was not a long-term plan. With IQI, he was able to build his own team and generate passive income. Little did he know that it would reap even more rewards!
Leading a team of over 200 members, not only is Suthan living his dream, but he’s helping others to achieve their dreams too.
Becoming a team leader came with its challenges – from balancing client calls to supporting his teammates.
Though it was difficult, Suthan was serving a bigger purpose: empowering the Indian community to become homeowners.
A majority of Indians are renting simply because they don’t know how to buy a house. I’d like to share the knowledge as I earn my living. From there, I want to duplicate my success to my downline so they’re able to sell houses to other Indians who are buying.
Discipline and Consistency Maketh Man
To Suthan, becoming a successful real estate agent is as simple as this: Respect your leaders, and keep pushing forward.
