1. Accomplishments as a real estate agent at IQI
Felicia: In 2022, I was honored to be named the Champion for Top Performers Overall in the Secondary Market as well as the Champion for Top Regional Subsales Performer in the Central Region of Kuala Lumpur.
I was also recognized as a Top Achiever and inducted into the Million Dollar Achiever Club Platinum Plus for my Subsales performance. Additionally, I was thrilled to receive the StarProperty Deal of The Year Award for Commercial properties.
In 2021, I was named the Top Subsales Performer and Top Regional Subsales Performer in the Central Region of Kuala Lumpur. These accomplishments serve as a testament to my hard work and dedication to the real estate industry, and I am proud to be among the top performers in my company.
2. What led you to pursue a career in real estate?
Felicia: I’ve always had a great desire to work as a real estate agent, as I enjoy meeting up with people. It’s my passion to be able to help my clients to own their dream properties. This is a wonderful career as you can work independently, be your own boss and yet be very well-rewarded.
3. Overcoming difficult obstacles
Felicia: There was an office rental transaction that took three years to complete. The office viewing started in July 2019. Initially, there were Feng Shui issues at the first building and the landlord refused to reduce the rental. The client had no choice but to look for another building.
At the second building, everything was fine until the Covid-19 pandemic and the MCO lockdown in March 2020. The client decided not to move until the situation improved. By the end of 2021, the office that had been chosen earlier was no longer available. I had to propose another office within the same building and after much negotiation, the deal was finally concluded in July 2022.
As a real estate agent, we have to be patient, persistent, and have a never-give-up attitude to close a deal, especially when facing unexpected challenges.

5. Career goals/aspirations in the next five years?
Felicia: As a real estate agent, my main goal is to focus on bigger transaction deals in order to increase my earnings. I plan to achieve this by building a strong team of star performers and champions through an aggressive recruitment drive.
It is important to have a team that is able to work efficiently and effectively in order to secure more deals. In addition to that, obtaining my REA license is also a top priority as it will give me more credibility in the industry and allow me to serve my clients better.
With these goals in mind, I am determined to work hard and achieve success in my real estate career.
6. Advice to those starting out in real estate
Find a good leader to help you build your career.
Felicia: Look for a good leader with strong credentials and a reputable agency to help you to build your career in real estate. Always believe in your dreams that you can make a success in this industry.
