1. Share some of your successful accomplishments as a real estate agent at IQI.
Bell: I find satisfaction in helping clients find the perfect office space to operate their business. This career allows me to provide better financial support to my family while enjoying the flexibility of time management.
I’m grateful for my clients’ support, which has enabled me to achieve one of my best accomplishments: earning five times more income after the pandemic in 2022.
2. What led you to pursue a career in real estate?
Bell: With 6 years of experience working in serviced offices and co-working spaces, I’m passionate about my job, especially in commercial offices. Every office unit is unique, and it’s really fulfilling to help my clients find the perfect match.
The key points that led me to pursue this career are: flexibility of time, potential to grow, and pay.
Although we’re busier than with a permanent job, we can always plan our time ahead for meetings, appointments, and personal matters.
There are no limitations in the real estate industry when it comes to growth and learning, and there’s no limit to how much you can earn, as long as you keep working.
3. Can you share a story about a difficult obstacle you faced in your real estate career, and how you overcame it?
Bell: I joined IQI in 2019, and the pandemic hit in 2020, which was the year I lost 2 deals totaling RM100k. It was very upsetting, as those were my very first 2 big deals in my 2nd year of my real estate career.
One of the deals had the deposit placed, and I had already prepared the cheque for the other. I felt lost at that time, as the MCO had just been announced, and they called to stop.
However, I didn’t give up easily, as I still saw the potential in this industry. I signed up for some courses to learn about Facebook marketing, website development, and expand my listing market exposure.
4. How has IQI supported your professional growth and development as a real estate agent?
Bell: IQI provides an excellent platform to learn about marketing skills and social media to build my personal brand.
I appreciate how organized the website is, particularly when it comes to paperwork, which helps me work more efficiently.
The admin team is also very responsive in processing claims and invoices, which relieves many of my worries.
Most importantly, I can receive payment within 5 working days upon submitting a claim.
5. Looking ahead to the next five years, what are some goals or aspirations you have for your career in real estate?
Bell: I hope to build a small team to expand my business.
I aim to share my knowledge and experience with someone who is passionate, willing to learn, and grow with me.
Most importantly, I’m looking for someone who shares the same values and vision as me.
6. If you could only give one piece of advice to someone who’s just starting out in real estate, what would it be?
Be hungry, and do not doubt.
Bell: One of the most important characteristics a real estate agent must have is the drive to hunt for more business and build a better income. There will always be ups and downs, so it’s important not to doubt yourself and to consistently put in the work.
Success doesn’t come easy, but miracles can happen if you work consistently and in the right way.
In IQI, we focus on ensuring that our agents and negotiators achieve insurmountable success in their careers. Join IQI to see how you can develop not only in your work, but also in your personal life!
