1. What is Rumah Selangorku?
Rumah Selangorku is a housing initiative by the state government of Selangor, Malaysia. They aim to provide affordable houses for its residents.
The houses in Selangor are bound to be more expensive because the state is so popular and the demand is high. This makes it hard for people to find affordable homes.
That is why the housing scheme is mainly for those in the middle and lower-income families.
2. Eligibility Criteria
So, are you eligible for Rumah Selangorku? Here are the criteria that you need to have in order to apply for it!
- Must be over 18 years old
- Must be a Malaysian citizen
- Must reside in Selangor
- Must not currently own any property
- Household income must not exceed RM10,000
- One household is only allowed to apply once
- Single applicants with dependents are eligible to apply
3. Prices and Housing Unit Types
There is Rumah Selangorku 2.0 and Rumah Selangorku 3.0
Rumah Selangorku 2.0
The prices of the house depends on the type of unit you are looking for. It can go from RM42,000 to RM250,000.
Before that, your income will determine the housing unit types which are:
Type A: Maximum RM3,000/month (household income)
Type B, C, D, E: Maximum RM3,001 – RM10,000/month (household income)

Rumah Selangorku 3.0
It is divided into type A, B, C, D, and E houses, with different eligibility criteria depending on the applicant’s household income:
Type A: Household earns up to RM3,500 per month
Type B: Household income does not exceed RM7,000 per month
Type C: Household earns up to RM10,000 per month
Type D, E: Household income does not exceed RM14,500 per month

4. How to Apply for Rumah Selangorku
Applying for the Rumah Selangorku scheme is a breeze!
Get started by hopping online to http://lphs.selangor.gov.my/.
Unlike other housing programs, you can’t apply with paper forms or in person – it’s all digital!
Once you’ve set up your account, you’ll need to upload some documents to prove you’re eligible:
- Copies of identity cards
- Birth certificates of children/dependents (if applicable)
- Copy of marriage certificate or similar (if applicable)
- Confirmation letter from employer or Commissioner of Oaths for single self-employed applicants (if applicable)
- Pay slips, bank statements, or income verification from Commissioner of Oaths (if applicable)
- Statutory declaration from Commission of Oaths for an unemployed spouse (if applicable)
- EPF statement (if applicable)
- Copy of utility bill
- Credit reports from CCRIS and/or CTOS
They will assess your application based on a merit system; so, make sure all your info is spot on!
They’ll let you know you’ve been selected for a property under the scheme via letter or email if you’re one of the lucky ones!
5. Frequently Asked Questions
Can I choose the house I want?
The answer is no, you will be assessed based on your merit. Only then they will offer you houses that suits your income the best!
Can I appeal if my application gets rejected?
Unfortunately no, you cannot appeal because all the decision made by the government is final.
Can I apply with my partner?
You can only apply as one household with your partner.
Can I sell my house after 5 years?
Of course! However, you will have to apply through the State Government first before selling it.
