The fire started at around 10.30 am and was traced back to an electrical substation owned by Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB) located in Mid Valley. TNB’s official press release confirmed that the fire originated from the external TNB substation, which is situated next to the east side of Mid Valley Megamall.
TNB then posted an official media press about the incident.

Earlier, there was a disruption of power supply in the nearby area which was recovered fully at 12.30 PM.
Mid Valley City management also confirmed that there have been no reports of injuries or casualties as of 11.38 AM.
Golden Screen Cinemas (GSC) Mid Valley KL has made an announcement stating that all screenings are being canceled and the cinema will be temporarily shut down until further notice.
