[ATTENTION] Compulsory Renewal of REN Tag for 2024

Dear IQI Warriors,

Your Real Estate Negotiator (REN) Tag has to be renewed annually. If your REN Tag is due to expire, you must renew it now in order to continue practising as a REN in Malaysia.

As directed by the BOVAEA, new REN’s who obtained their REN Tags between 1^st October 2023 and 31^st December 2023, the validity of the REN Tag will be until 31^st December 2024.

For existing RENs who re-sat the NCC course and had the REN Tag reactivated between 1^st October 2023 and 31^st December 2023, the validity of the REN Tag will be until the end of this year, 2023, only.

If you fail to register and complete renewal, you will need to go through the full NCC certification process again.

How To Renew Your REN Tag

1. Attend CDP

The Real Estate Board requires RENs to attend a Continuous Development Program (CDP) course which is usually a half day training conduced by a Board approved trainer.

There are limited CDP sessions available until the end of December 2023 so you are strongly encouraged to register early to ensure that you get a training slot.

2. Submit Documents

Submit appropriate documentation in Atlas and IQI will request renewal of the REN Tag on your behalf with the Board.

How to Register for CDP

Registration for a CDP course is done through Atlas directly and manual registration is not possible. There is a fee of RM250 which in inclusive of a lunch voucher of RM15.

1. Go to Atlas web at https://atlas.iqiglobal.com/blog.
2. From the menu, go to “IQI Calendar” and search for the next available CDP course. You can look through the monthly calendar or change the view to “Event List” to make it easier.
3. Select the CDP course that you want to join bearing in mind the location and time.
4. Click “Register Now” and complete the payment process. Using the online or credit card payment option is much quicker and easier.
5. Attend and successfully complete the CDP session after which you will receive a certificate.

Things to Take Note Of

Please note the following conditions:

• This is 1st come 1st serve basis. If full, We will re-schedule the RENs to next session.
• Registration fees is non refundable, no changing of dates.
• Not accept last minute walk in.
• RENs must adhere to all the SOPs & guidelines at all times.
• Please DO NOT delay the registration to avoid any reinstatement imposed by the LPPEH.
• CDP Certificate will be provided after the attendance list has been sent to the Board. An email notification will be sent to you once your certificate is ready for collection.
• If you fail to complete the CDP requirements and renew your REN tag in time, you will need to attend a full NCC course which currently costs RM636 as well as pay RM100 to replace your REN tag.
