Putrajaya, 19 Feb 2018 – Gather around one and all, bring your family and friends to the inaugural marathon event whose mission is to spread love and kindness all around, The LoveRun Malaysia, brought to you by LoveRun Global!!
What is the LoveRun Malaysia?
Simply put, LoveRun Malaysia is a charity Marathon run event, which is all about spreading the message of loving and caring, and raising awareness about people who are not as privileged as we are and the organizations that help these people.
Their aim is to:
- Help uplift the lives of everyone around
- Build meaningful relationships between members of the community
- Make a lasting change in the lives of the underprivileged children
- Inspire others to do the same.
What about LoveRun Global? Who are they?
LoveRun Global is the brainchild of the team at IQI Global, one of Malaysia’s leading real estate agencies. By hosting this run, we wish to accomplish four major goals:
- To unite everyone together in this cause regardless of race, religion or culture.
- To raise public awareness about the underprivileged, the organizations that do their level best to help them and to encourage people to come together to help them and spread love and kindness.
- To help destitute and underprivileged.
- To inspire the community to uplift the downtrodden.
In the future LoveRun hopes to spread their message across the globe and help raise awareness for more worthy causes and bring people together to help those in need.
And Who are IQI Global?
IQI is an international real estate investment and advisory firm with offices in Malaysia, Australia, Canada, Philippines and with its main headquarters located in Dubai. IQI stands for International Quality Investments, which explains what they do and how they deliver their services to their clients and customers.
Like LoveRun Global, IQI seeks to uplift the lives of everyone. They believe in leading by example, which is why they aim to act as a beacon that shines the light towards all those who are in need of upliftment and help them reach their goals in any way they can.
Who Benefits From The LoveRun?
Rumah Aman
Rumah Aman (“Peaceful Home” in Malay) is a non-profit and non-political children’s home providing a caring and loving home for children who are orphaned or from very poor or destitute families in Malaysia.
Rumah Aman doesn’t just provide a roof over the children’s heads, it provides a home, and education at par with the national standards. Through this, Rumah Aman hopes to break the cycle of reliance and give the best opportunities available to their children so they become caring global citizens.
Dignity for Children
Dignity for Children Foundation (Dignity) aims to empower underprivileged urban poor children to alleviate their poverty through quality education and care, positively transforming their lives and the lives of the community around them. Dignity achieves this by establishing high quality learning centres under one roof for the poor; implementing specialised learning environments to develop children academically and socially, thus empowering them to become productive members of society.
Refugee Welfare Fund (UNHCR)
UNHCR, the UN refugee agency, works to assist and protect refugees everywhere.
In Malaysia, UNHCR has established the Refugee Welfare Fund, which they manage jointly with their key NGO partner in health, the Buddhist Tzu Chi Foundation. The Refugee Welfare Fund meets the emergency medical and welfare needs of refugees in Malaysia, particularly in the area of life-saving medical assistance.
SAMH
The Selangor and Federal Territory Association for the Mentally Handicapped (SAMH) is a charitable non-governmental organization (NGO) that serves the needs of 300 mentally challenged children and adults at three special schools and centers situated in the Klang Valley.
SAMH’s primary aim is to provide education, training, employment and care for special mentally challenged children and adults so that they can reach their full potential and improve their quality of life.

The Run will be held at Dataran Putrajaya.

The LoveRun has 3 categories:

3KM Angel & Guardian Run (PWD/OKU Run) (Mandatory with 1 Guardian) | Free** | PWS/OKU Candidates : 7 yrs and above, Guardians : 18 yrs and above |
*Children below 7 yrs may also participate. No registration required for children below 7 yrs.
**Additional guardians who wish to participate must pay RM 30. Up to 2 extra guardians may participate per OKU.
At the end of the run, LoveRun’s in house DJ will entertain all the runners and wrap up the night during the post-race concert and party.
