Melaka, A World Heritage City filled with historical venues, incredible temples, ancient landmarks and scrumptious food stalls, can truly be called a tourist paradise. Now Melaka has opened its newest attraction, Love Harbour Melaka, The very first love-themed harbour launched at The Riviera on the 1st of March this year.
The harbour is a collaboration project between Mythas Legacy Sdn Bhd, a Malaysian-based property management firm and First Avenue Partners (Asia) Sdn Bhd, a tourist attraction development company. The companies plan to invest RM15 million to promote the area and are targeting to get 1.6 million tourists in Melaka annually.
The harbour has been built on five acres of land with 100 units of shops. It also features classical European architectural design houses and extensive businesses such as:
- Boutique hotels
- A wide range of F&B establishments
- Bridal shops and other specialty shops
- Wedding planning services
- Cross-century love theme pavilion
Hedki Heng, CEO of Mythas Legacy Sdn Bhd stated that the harbour strives to become a major tourist attraction that caters to both a local and an international audience, attracting holidaymakers from all over the world. This will help boost tourism and economy in Melaka and Malaysia.
“We are confident that the Love Harbour Melaka will attract tourists from across the region. We target the revenue projection to be RM32 million in the first year, RM48 million in the following year and RM72 million in the third year,” Heng said.
He also said that they are currently on the lookout for more tenants and businesses in order to grow the Love Harbour.
