| Everything You Should Know About STR 2024 |
1. What is Sumbangan Tunai Rahmah (STR) 2024?
Sumbangan Tunai Rahmah (STR) 2024 is an initiative under Payung Rahmah, brought to you by the Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (LHDNM).
Designed to extend a helping hand to those facing the challenges of the rising cost of living, this program is a pivotal component of the Second MADANI Budget (Budget 2024).
It has a noble aim: to make a positive impact on the lives of up to 10 million Malaysians.
2. Who can apply for STR 2024?
The following categories are eligible to apply for STR 2024.

| Married individuals, single parents, widows, or widowers with eligible children | RM5,000 or below |
| Senior citizens without spouses | RM5,000 or below |
| Singles, single parents, widows, or widowers without eligible children | RM2,500 or below |
| Disabled individuals aged 19-59 years who are not full-time students | RM2,500 or below |
3. How much aid will you receive?
The amount of aid for STR 2024 depends on the income bracket, as follows:

| Households with 1-2 children | Below RM2,500 | RM1,500 |
| Households with 3-4 children | Below RM2,500 | RM2,000 |

| Households with no children | RM2,501 to RM5,000 | RM500 |
| Households with 1-2 children | RM2,501 to RM5,000 | RM750 |
| Households with 3-4 children | RM2,501 to RM5,000 | RM1,000 |
| Households with 5 or more children | RM2,501 to RM5,000 | RM1,250 |
| Singles | Below RM2,500 | RM350 |
| Seniors | Below RM5,000 | RM600 |
Additionally, it’s important to note that Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar announced an increase in the charity assistance amount for 2024, raising it from RM3,500 to RM3,700.
This means that eligible applicants will receive higher assistance, with a minimum of RM500 for single young individuals.
4. How to apply for STR 2024
You can apply for STR assistance through either online or physical form submission. Follow the details below:
i. New Application for STR
Step 1:
Visit the official website https://bantuantunai.hasil.gov.my/ and click on “Permohonan Baharu STR 2024” (STR 2024 New Application).
Step 2:
Complete the required information, including your name, age, occupation, monthly income, marital status, bank details, and more.
Step 3:
Upload any necessary additional documents, such as birth certificates, marriage certificates, divorce certificates, or death certificates (if applicable).
Step 4:
After entering your beneficiaries’ information, click “Teruskan” (Continue).
Step 5:
Verify your information, enter the Captcha code, and click “Sahkan Captcha” to confirm the verification.
Step 6:
Check the box to confirm the accuracy of your personal information and click “Hantar” to submit the form. You can also choose to print a copy.
ii. Existing Account: Update Information
If you have previously applied for STR assistance and wish to continue receiving it, you do not need to reapply.
Instead, follow these steps to update your information:
Step 1:
Log in to the official website https://bantuantunai.hasil.gov.my/.
Step 2:
Enter your IC number and click “Log Masuk” to log in.
Step 3:
After confirming your security key, enter your password to log in.
Step 4:
Click “Kemas Kini Permohonan” (Update Application Information), select the information you need to update, and then click “Teruskan” to continue.
Step 5:
After completing the update, confirm that the information is correct, check the box to verify its accuracy, and click “Hantar” to submit.
iii. Submit Physical Form
If you prefer to submit a physical form, you have that option as well.
Visit the Inland Revenue Board office in your respective state or the Inland Revenue Board office in UTC during office hours to obtain the form, fill it out, and submit it in person.
5. When will I receive my STR 2024 fund?
You will receive your STR 2024 fund according to your application times.
The payout dates are as follows:

| December 1, 2023 – February 29, 2024 | April 2024 |
| March 1, 2024 – June 30, 2024 | August 2024 |
| July 1, 2024 – September 30, 2024 | November 2024 |
6. How to check your STR amount
While the government hasn’t yet announced the exact disbursement date for the aid, you can easily find out the amount of assistance you’ll receive.
Here’s how:
- Log in to your account.
- Click on “Semakan Permohonan” (Check Application Information) to access your STR aid application results.
- In the “Check Application” section of the STR Aid page, click on “Semakan STR 2023.”
- The system will then display the precise amount of assistance you are eligible to receive.
- Once this is confirmed, all that remains is to await the government’s disbursement of the aid to the bank account you’ve provided. Alternatively, you can choose to collect the cash directly from a nearby BSN bank branch.
