MySejahtera 101: Tips and Guides

Fully-vaccinated individuals with updated MySejahtera statuses are now granted various relaxations during the MCO as part of the national recovery plan. Although most of these leniencies are mainly centred towards those living in phase 2 and above areas, fully-vaccinated individuals in phase 1 areas are not left behind either, provided they show their MySejahtera digital certificate.

What does it mean to be fully-vaccinated?

• 14 days after receiving their second dose of Covid vaccines. (Pfizer, Astra Zeneca and Sinovac).
• 28 days after for single dose vaccines. (Johnson & Johnson and CanSino)

1. How to Register for MySejahtera

According to MySejahtera’s official F.A.Q page, there are nine steps to registering for MySejahtera, but we would like to simplify it to seven: 

1. Download and Install MySejahtera using your owned device through your preferred medium. (Gallery of Malaysian Government Mobile Applications (GAMMA), Apple AppStore, Google Play Store or Huawei AppGallery)
2. Open the app and click ‘Register Here’. 
3. Enter your phone number or email address credentials. 
4. You will receive an OTP from ‘63869’ or a confirmation link through your email address if you opted for email. 
5. Enter the OTP and click ‘Send’ or click on the link in your email to confirm your registration. 
6. Reopen the app and enter your User ID and password before clicking ‘Sign in’. 
7. Hooray! You can now use the app.

2. How to Register for Vaccination Through MySejahtera

1. Ensure that your MySejahtera app is updated to it’s most recent version. 
2. Press the ‘Covid-19’ icon and button on the home page. 
3. Verify your details, ensure that your name, IC/Passport number and phone number are accurate. 
4. Once your details have been verified, you will be directed to a page with four simple yes/no questions. Make sure you answer them accurately and truthfully.  
5. Once you’ve answered the questions, you will be put on the waitlist for a Covid-19 vaccination and will be notified via the MySejahtera app, a text or a phone call.

 

3. How to Verify Your MySejahtera Digital Certificate

Let’s say you’ve completed your vaccination doses and have gone through the 14-days or 28-days period; you are now officially entitled to the leniencies granted for a fully vaccinated individual! Next, you are required to show and verify your MySejahtera Digital Certificate before you partake in any of the activities bestowed upon fully vaccinated individuals. This is how you show your vaccination proof:

1. Open the MySejahtera app 
2. Click on ‘Profile’ in the bottom right corner of the screen. 
3. Scroll down until you see the ‘COVID-19 Vaccination Digital Certificate’

4. How to Show Your MySejahtera

1. Open the MySejahtera app
2. Click on ‘Profile’ in the bottom right corner of the screen.
3. Check the category labelled ‘MySJ ID’. (Your MySJ ID is often your mobile number)

5. What do the Different Colors in Your MySejahtera Profile Represent?

When you open your MySejahtera profile, your profile colour may differ according to different individuals. Here’s what they mean: 

Blue	You are healthy and low risk.
Orange	You are a suspected Covid-19 patient.
Yellow	You are under observation and may have been in contact with a positive Covid-19 patient.
Red	You are a confirmed patient of Covid-19 that shows no symptoms of contracting the virus.

In these difficult times, we must uphold good principles and help each other out however we can. Although we are happy that certain relaxations have finally been granted to fully vaccinated people, we don’t see that as a reason to be complacent. Lastly, let’s all play a part in tackling this pandemic by practising the proper SOP’s that we have been taught for the past two years.
