The Collapse of Networking Business

AG Sasidar spent almost nine years in a networking business, earning RM40,000 to RM50,000 monthly. Then, overnight, the company shut down, leaving him without an income and unsure of his next steps.

Determined to start a meaningful and profitable business, Sasidar was unsure where to begin. To support his family and newborn second child, he became a Grab driver.

This decision marked the start of his journey from driving for Grab to becoming a successful property agent, eventually earning a five to six-figure income.

Sasidar started as a Grab driver in Seremban, but it wasn’t profitable. To increase his income, he commuted between Seremban and Kuala Lumpur, leaving at 4 AM on Mondays and returning on Saturday nights.

He spent almost six days a week sleeping in his car and using public toilets for showers.

From Grab Driver to Real Estate Success

After six months, he realized that driving for Grab was not his true passion. An inner voice told him to follow his passion and make a change for his family. He decided to quit Grab and pursue a career in real estate.

Determined to succeed, he joined IQI, believing it was the best company for his new path. This marked the start of his successful real estate career.

It’s been exactly five years since Sasidar joined IQI. When asked how he learned about the company, he explained 

I spent two days meticulously researching online, carefully evaluating various options, and I concluded that IQI was the best company for me.

Eager to join, he inquired through the IQI website and anxiously waited for a response. After two days, he received an exciting call from Lennard Koay, the head of the team. 

Lennard explained everything about the company, and from that moment, Sasidar decided to join IQI, marking the start of his successful journey in real estate. 

Starting from driving for Grab, he now earns a five to six-figure income.

Challenges in Early Days with IQI

Initially, Sasidar struggled to make ends meet in the business using traditional methods like cold calling and WhatsApp blasts. 

Despite his efforts, he couldn’t generate significant income. Commuting daily from Seremban at 5 AM on his Honda EX5 motorbike, he diligently opened his workstation at Empire City by 6:30 AM, often staying until late at night.

Besides that, after a year, he realized something about his Indian community. He said,

I wanted to help my Indian community, who lacked knowledge and struggled with buying property. So, I decided to create videos to educate them on how to navigate the process, what to look out for, and what they needed to know.

Despite earning nothing from real estate for a year and a half, his educational approach eventually paid off as he built trust within the community. Six months later, he started seeing financial results from his efforts.

Learning and Growth: How IQI helps Sasidar

Before joining IQI, Sasidar had zero knowledge about real estate. After joining, he recalls learning a lot from the company’s elite founders like Kashif Ansari and Daniel Ho, who encouraged him to educate others.

To educate people effectively, he knew he needed to understand property knowledge first.

He dedicated himself to reading articles, studying various topics, and sharing what he learned with his social media followers.

By focusing on one goal at a time and celebrating each success, Sasidar steadily increased his income. Now, he’s working on building passive income streams for financial security.

Balancing Sacrifice and Success: Work-Life Balance

When Sasidar joined IQI, he initially struggled with work-life balance. For the first year, he had no income, making it difficult to provide for his family.

He focused intensely on his work and told his wife and kids that his sacrifice was for their future. He committed another six months to hard work, and his perseverance paid off.

Now, Sasidar works from 7 AM to 4 PM, does his workouts, and spends time with his kids. He also dedicates one or two days a week entirely to his family, often taking them on vacations.

Though it required significant sacrifice, Sasidar now enjoys the flexibility of his job and effectively balances work and family life.

I owe a heartfelt thank you to my wife. During the tough year and a half without income, she supported us by selling our house and belongings. Her belief in me, even when I doubted myself, was crucial. Her unwavering support was essential to my journey and success.

Meet Victor Woo, who worked as a Chartered Accountant in the early stage of their career. He invested in his first property in 1990 and has since gone on to many more such ventures over the next few years.

After achieving several bouts of success, Victor decided to join the real estate industry as a negotiator in 2017.
