With a remarkable allocation of RM421 billion<\/strong>, this budget aims to reshape the future, especially in property and housing development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
One of the key features is a strong commitment of RM5.93 billion<\/strong> for housing initiatives<\/strong>, highlighting a major investment in making homes more accessible<\/strong> for all Malaysians<\/mark><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The budget is built around three essential pillars: Raise the Ceiling<\/strong>, Raise the Floor<\/strong>, and Good Governance and Public Sector<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Affordable Housing <\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\nIt’s looking good for the real estate focuses<\/a>! The MADANI Government has allocated a total of RM900 million<\/strong> for 48 People’s Residency Programme (PRR) <\/strong>projects and 14 Mesra Rakyat Housing<\/strong> projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This includes two new housing<\/mark><\/a> projects in Port Dickson<\/strong> and Seberang Perai Tengah<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
By the end of 2025, 30 of these projects are expected to be finished, helping around 17,500 new residents<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The budget also sees an increase of RM90,000<\/strong> to help build new homes for those in the hardcore poor housing program (PPRT)<\/strong>, as well as for fishermen and residents of Chinese new villages<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Meanwhile, UDA Holdings Bhd (UDA)<\/strong> is set to receive RM200 million<\/strong> for the development of affordable housing on wakaf land, and the Public Sector Home Financing Board (LPPSA) <\/strong>will assist civil servants in buying homes on this land.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The government has also announced an increase in the maximum allocation for home repair<\/strong> assistance to RM20,000<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Which leads to the another highlights: First-time home buyers can get up to RM7,000 tax break<\/strong> when buying residential properties that cost up to RM500,000<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
If you’re looking at properties priced between RM500,000 to RM750,000<\/strong>, you can claim a tax relief of up to RM5,000<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
To qualify for this tax relief<\/a>, you will need to finalize a home loan agreement from January 1, 2025<\/strong>, to December 31, 2027<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sejati MADANI <\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
For Budget 2025, the government also plans to set aside RM1 billion<\/strong> next year to support the Sejati MADANI Community Prosperity Project<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
While RM100 million<\/strong> will be used to upgrade 48 Madani Public Parks<\/strong>, enhancing recreational spaces across cities and towns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
All States Development <\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\nThe MADANI government is committed to honouring Sabah<\/strong> and <\/strong>Sarawak<\/mark><\/strong> <\/a>by working to bridge the development gap<\/mark><\/a> between these two key states.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The focus is on improving essential services like roads<\/strong>, electricity<\/strong>, and clean water <\/strong>to ensure a better quality of life for everyone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For this, the total public investment for development in 2025<\/strong> is expected to be at RM120 billion<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
When it comes to home repairs<\/strong>, RM200 million<\/strong> is set aside for maintaining low-and medium-cost public strata homes, which includes things like replacing old elevators and sprucing up parks. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Meanwhile, RM84 million<\/strong> is dedicated to improving basic and social facilities in Chinese New Villages<\/strong>, and the Housing and Local Government Ministry<\/strong> will be working to meet the needs of Indian communities<\/strong> as well.<\/p>\n\n\n

This initiative aims to enhance the local economy and create a substantial number of job opportunities<\/strong>, especially in the duty-free zone<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At the same time, the National Energy Transition Roadmap (NETR)<\/strong> project will move into the implementation phase2<\/a><\/sup>, including the Kenyir Hybrid Hydro Floating Solar Farm<\/strong> and a green hydrogen hub<\/strong> in Terengganu3<\/a><\/sup>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
