IQI Kuching Real Estate Negotiator<\/strong>, Lester anak Surai, observed a rise in property demand in the area. <\/p>\n\n\n\n This includes single individuals<\/strong> and newly married couples<\/strong> looking for homes, showing an increasing interest in landed houses as the year goes on. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Reasons being, most landed houses in Sarawak are considered ‘affordable<\/strong>‘, thanks to the government’s Rumah Sri Pertiwi<\/strong> initiative which allows buyers to purchase a landed house for between RM 270,000 to RM 290,000<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n In contrast, the priciest single-story homes from private housing projects<\/strong> can reach around RM 400,000<\/strong> or higher. Home buyers find these options attractive because they are affordable and have the potential to increase in value by about 10% each year<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n This statement is also supported by IQI Bintulu Real Estate Negotiator<\/strong>, Afza Shalqimie bin Muhammad Arbi, who has been working in the field for 5 years. <\/p>\n\n\n\n He pointed out that many residents in Bintulu are families who want to settle in landed neighbourhoods as these areas offer greater convenience<\/strong> and a safer environment<\/strong>. Even those living alone tend to seek out landed properties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Surprisingly, the property market is performing better now than before. Therefore, Airbnb becomes the best choice, attracting investors to grow<\/strong> their businesses.” <\/p>\nJamie Tiew<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n The rise of infrastructure<\/strong>, education opportunities<\/strong> and valuable events<\/strong> are one of the main reasons why people are looking to buy or invest in Sarawak. <\/p>\n\n\n\n The Pan-Borneo Highway<\/strong>, also known as Pan-Borneo Expressway<\/mark><\/a>, is a controlled-access highway on Borneo Island. <\/p>\n\n\n\n It stretches around 2,000 kilometers, linking the Malaysian states<\/strong> of Sabah<\/strong> and Sarawak<\/strong>, as well as Brunei<\/strong>. This has made the previously difficult journey much easier. <\/p>\n\n\n\n The highway has also facilitated cross-border<\/strong> engagements, improving transport, trade, and tourism in the area. This growth in tourism has led to increased demand for accommodation related services<\/strong>, mainly Airbnb.<\/p>\n\n\n Miri’s rising population is boosting growth in important cities like Senadin<\/strong>, Permyjaya<\/strong>, Lutong<\/strong>, and Taman Tugu<\/strong>, resulting in more property activities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Eva David, an IQI Miri Property Consultant<\/strong>, stated that the rise in population due to economic growth, migration, and natural increase is leading to a steady demand for housing and related services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The demand for housing in these cities is on the rise. Almost 80% of property demand <\/strong>in Kuching would likely be around Samarahan, as the area is high in job opportunities as well as educational hubs like UiTM 1, UiTM 2, and UNIMAS. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Other than that, the easy transportation access such as Autonomous Rail Transit (ART) Kuching<\/strong>, making it easier for them to get around Kuching now. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Most of what people are looking for are in Samarahan; hospitals, universities and job opportunities.
