The origins of Deepavali are steeped in various narratives, each highlighting the triumph of good over evil, knowledge over ignorance, and the importance of light over darkness. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Derived from the Sanskrit words “Deepa” (light) and “Avali” (a row), Deepavali revolves around the stories of prominent figures in Hindu mythology, such as Lord Rama and Lord Krishna.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
How is Deepavali Celebrated in Malaysia?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
In Malaysia, Deepavali is celebrated with great enthusiasm and joy, intertwining ancient traditions with the nation’s vibrant multicultural environment. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Malaysian Indian families prepare for the festival by cleaning and decorating their homes<\/strong> with colorful rangoli or kolam designs<\/strong> made from rice flour, symbolizing prosperity and welcoming good fortune. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
