As Meta continues to grow, founder Mark Zuckerberg says that he hopes to reflect the branding of the company to encompass everything that they do. However, Meta isn’t the only company making this bold step into this direction. Here are some other big brands that are interested in stepping into the Metaverse! <\/p>\n

1. Nike<\/h2>\n

\"\"Back in December 13th, Nike announced that they bought virtual sneaker company RTFKT<\/a> for an undisclosed sum to grow their presence in the Metaverse. <\/p>\n

Not only that, they have also previously tapped into the metaverse with the creation of NIKELAND<\/a>, a digital space in the game Roblox that gives access to players to adorn their characters with special Nike products and is free for players to enter. <\/p>\n

Moreover, players and visitors can play and design mini-games to play taken from interactive sport materials. <\/p>\n

2. Adidas<\/h2>\n

\"adidas\"Adidas is apparently planning to launch an untitled nonfungible token (NFT) collection that will be pushed into the Metaverse. <\/p>\n

This particular NFT collection will also act as an exclusive access token for holders, giving them better accessibility for future merchandise, physical and digital product and services, rewards within the newly attained land plot in The Sandbox, and many more.<\/p>\n

Moreover, Adidas also purchased Ape #8774 — a blue-furred, heart-bespectacled primate with an angler’s cap and gold hoop earing for 46ETH (crypto currency) , which is a little over $150,000 at that point.<\/p>\n

3. Meta<\/h2>\n

\"\"Meta, the company responsible for the surge of popularity in the Metaverse is planning to dominate the entire ecosystem as well. Although the intricacies and technology of the Metaverse is not quite there yet, Meta is aiming on playing the long game. <\/p>\n

How will Meta establish themselves as the primary player in the metaverse? They buy everything. Currently, Meta is busy purchasing digital properties ranging from VR Software Companies to VR Gaming Studios to cement themselves into the metaverse, one purchase at a time. <\/a><\/p>\n

Some of the companies Meta has bought include Lemnis Technologies based in Singapore, London-based Scape Technologies, CTRL Labs and many more. <\/p>\n
